My name is Maggie Phillips. For my web design project I chose to use my place of employment, The George Washington Hotel. Built in Washington, Pennsylvania the building was designed by renowned architect William Lee Stoddart in 1923 and opened on February 22 - George Washington's Birthday. Located at 60 South Main Street, this complex once included a movie theater which has been demolished.

The hotel takes part in the annual Whiskey Rebellion Festival, weddings, charities and many more activities from Chinese auctions to proms and school dances. The 100,000 guest checked into the George Washington Hotel at 10:00pm on July 7, 1925. Her name was Mrs. Albert G. Clark. Mrs. Clark commented on the excellent service rendered by each employee. She noted that in her travels she has never seen such a combination of home life, refinement, and luxury.
